I think of the space my works create as universes which hold other ones within them. That may explain the reason I am often using the oval, a shape reminiscent of an egg, a seed, a galaxy or any other embryonic world. Viewing the works from a distance enhances this impression. A closer look reveals a second impression, a world of transition: the struggle of matter, from non-living to become living, from plant to become animal and from human to become idea.
